🗂️ General Questions
What is included in the rental price?
Our rental price includes delivery, pickup, a 7-day rental period, and a generous weight allowance. There are no hidden fees - what you see is what you pay!
How quickly can you deliver a bin?
In our primary service areas, we offer same-day delivery if you order before noon. For extended areas, delivery is typically next business day. Rush delivery is available upon request.
What size bin do I need?
This depends on your project size. A 10-yard bin works for small cleanouts, 20-yard for medium renovations, 30-yard for large projects, and 40-yard for major construction. When in doubt, our team can help you choose!
Can I extend my rental period?
Yes! You can extend your rental for $15 per additional day. Just give us a call before your pickup date to arrange the extension.
📋 Booking & Policies
Do I need a permit for the bin?
If the bin is placed on your private property (driveway, yard), no permit is needed. If it goes on a public street or sidewalk, you may need a permit from your local municipality.
How do I prepare for delivery?
Ensure the delivery location is accessible by our truck. Remove any obstacles like cars, low-hanging branches, or power lines.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Payment is due upon delivery or can be arranged in advance.
Can I cancel or reschedule my order?
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your scheduled delivery time with no penalty. Same-day changes may incur additional fees.
🚫 Prohibited Items
What cannot go in the bin?
Prohibited items include: hazardous materials, chemicals, paint, batteries, tires, appliances with freon, asbestos, medical waste, and electronics. When in doubt, ask!
Can I put appliances in the bin?
Most appliances are fine, but refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers require special handling due to freon. We offer appliance removal as a separate service.
What about electronics?
Electronics need special recycling and cannot go in regular bins. We offer electronics recycling services - just ask when you book!
Can I put concrete or heavy materials?
In general, concrete is not accepted. Small amounts may be approved by Yellow Bins staff, but larger quantities must be placed in a 9-cubic-yard bin.
Can I put dirt into the bin?
Due to weight restrictions, dirt is not accepted in the bins.
💰 Pricing & Fees
What is the weight limit?
Each bin size has a generous weight allowance included in the price. Overweight fees are $75 per ton over the limit. We'll let you know if you're getting close!
Are there any additional fees?
Our pricing is transparent. Additional fees only apply for: extended rentals ($15/day), overweight ($75/ton), and weekend pickup ($25).
Do you offer discounts?
We offer discounts for multiple bin rentals, repeat customers, and non-profit organizations. Military and senior discounts are also available - just ask!
